Since 2007, the German Young Geomorphologists organize annual workshops in order to support networking amongst early career geomorphology enthusiasts. The meetings provide a platform for open discussions on a wide range of problems that might have emerged within a particular research project.

The meeting will provide an ideal opportunity to present your current work, to discuss problems and receive constructive feedback! We want to highlight our interest in solving problems that occur during the emprirical or writing period of your research.

Preliminary selection of events:

  • your BSc/MSc and PhD studies: oral, poster, or spotlight presentation and extensive discussions
  • keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Wilfried Haeberli (University of Zürich) and by PD Dr. Tobias Ullmann (University of Würzburg) on recent research and his scientific career
  • an optional workshop on Digital Terrain Methods in Applied Geosciences with Guest Speaker Andreas Eberts (Geological Survey of Rhineland-Palatinate) supported by Bastian Grimm (German Young Geomorphologists) on June 27th (see flyer for additional info)

Please register by 13.05.2022 using our registration form!

We would be happy if you have time to join the meeting and if we meet again in real life.

Please also feel free to register with our mailing list (email to jgtreffen@gmail.com) to receive updates on the meeting in June and on additional activities of the Young Geomorphologists!
